Brekkie – mylife#1

So what did you eat for breakfast this morning?  Wonder if it was similar to what I ate for brekkie…

A sweet friend of mine asked me to post about my every day life.  Where I shop, what I eat, where we go for entertainment, etc.  happy to oblige.  So this morning I decided to tell you about my breakfast – lovingly referred to as brekkie.

I love breakfast.  But not what the “normal” person thinks of an exciting breakfast.  Waffles, pancakes, sausages, bacon (or stripples for my veggie readers), eggs…  none of this is appealing to me at all.  My idea of a perfect breakfast is what I get almost every day here in South Africa!

Mangoes!

Pineapple!

Guava!

Papaya!

Banana!

Pomegranate!

Does it sound like I am in heaven yet?  Yummy!  My breakfast almost always consists of at least two of these fruits.  And usually they end up in a smoothie – or with meuslix and yoghurt.  Delightful!  And thanks to me dear hubby, my smoothies are entering a new phase, because I just got a new blender for mother’s day!  Watch out Booster Juice!  I am on a smoothie making mission!!!

So that is what my breakfast looks like!  In fact, I just finished a bowl of papaya, banana, meuslix, and mixed berry yoghurt!  mmmmmmmm!!  What does your breakfast look like?

    Oatmeal, almonds, dried cranberries, blueberries.

Great that you now have a blender. Why am I suspicious that the gift was not entirely for YOU???

Yay! Love this series! 🙂 Mesh gave me a vitamix for Mother’s Day (and my birthday, and pretty much every celebration for the next few years!)…and we’ve used it tons. We normally have shakes for breakfast, but it takes it to the next level. Yumm! Can’t wait to read more of the series. I am bad at commenting on posts as I read it on my phone but love when I see your posts come up in my feeder!!

homemade granola, skim milk, handful of pecans, orange, and dried guava….I’m so jealous of fresh mangos, guava, and poms. Even in Zambia I usually end up with banana! The fruit isn’t as plentiful
