How old are you?  Are you married?  When did you get married?  Was it easy to find a life partner? 

Some might call it underwhelming, but I called it “perfect!”  I turned 43 on Wednesday this week…  I live in a country where birthdays are greatly celebrated!  Much more emphasis put on them that what I am used to.  But this year, I only wanted one thing.  

Sitting on my couch this morning looking out the window – grey skies, scattered bits of rain, distant thunder – reminded me of another September morning, 8 years ago.  

Those are my colors in a personality test that I have done a few times.  It always comes out the same, no matter what mood I am in – and hasn’t changed in 10 years (from the first time I did the test.)  I guess I better believe it.  

My amazing mom came to visit us for 2 months.  She just left a couple of weeks ago and we miss her terribly!  We had such a fabulous time together!  She was so gracious, and didn’t even complain about…..

Counting… something we learn in our early years and use for the rest of our lives.  I have been counting things I am thankful for – was inspired by a book I read a few years ago called One Thousand Gifts.  I highly recommend it!  So a few years ago, as part of my 40…

My life is so full.  Full of the most amazing people, family, friends, experiences, work, play, food, animals, (okay, not car.  our car is not amazing, but that is the only exception) church, schools, etc, etc, etc.  I am truly blessed.  I see my blessings on a daily basis.  I am getting in the habit…

I have occasionally heard my children say those 3 little words, “It’s not fair.”  I tend to give them the same answer my mom gave me.  “No one ever promised you that life would be fair.”  Recently I have decided to add a little something to my answer.  Life isn’t fair.  But my kids fall…

I overheard someone say the other day, “I don’t think anyone died in this past election!  Amazing!”  He was corrected by a friend – two people did lose their life during some political unrest.  This however, is dramatically improved from the past, when there has been tremendous loss of life during election seasons.
